A good samaritan saves the day!
Just when things didn’t need to go wrong – it was pouring with rain and everyone was late – it did. Lesley’s bridal car (a vintage Rolls Royce) broke down on the A9. Rescue came in the form of another motorist, who saw her and her father on the verge and realised something was up, and offered a lift. Add five minutes to her father’s speech!
By the time we’d come out of the church the sun was shining, and everything continued according to plan.
That’s the thing about the weather in Scotland: I’ve never photographed a wedding when it poured with rain the whole day. There’s always sunshine at some point!
