Trish and John’s wedding at Borthwick Castle
Trish and John came all the way from Chicago to get married in one of Scotland’s historic castles. Borthwick Castle dates from the 1400s, and notable points in it’s history include Mary Queen of Scots spending her honeymoon there, and surviving a seige from Cromwell’s army. Oh, and it’s haunted too!
It was a perfect wedding venue for Trish and John and their guests from America. They didn’t even complain about the copious number of steps you have to climb from the driveway at the bottom to the Guardroom (doubling as the Chapel) at the top!
The organisation had been done by Yvonne at Scottish Wedding Consultants, so everything, naturally, ran smoothly and on time.
After a dinner at the longest table I’ve ever seen, it was time to dance the night away, although some just preferred to enjoy the sumptuous couches in the great hall!
There’s a few photographs below, and if you want to see more of Trish and John’s wedding photographs, they’re on the order page.

Jennifer and Josh’s wedding at Borthwick Castle
I photographed a lovely small wedding at Borthwick Castle last week. Jennifer and Josh had travelled all the way from the east coast of the USA to get married in Scotland, and left most of the arrangements in the hands of Yvonne, of Scottish Wedding Consultants.
Needless to say, the day went smoothly! Our little team of Iain piping, Steve videoing, me taking photos, and Yvonne making sure the rain held off will hopefully provide some wonderful memories for the couple, their families and thier friends.
Here are some of the black and white photos I took, and there are more colour photographs to see here.
