Emma and Sam’s Wedding in Edinburgh
It’s not often that you feel sea sick at a wedding – but the winds that were already blowing hard for Emma and Sam’s wedding on Inchcolm Island turned into a force 9 gale for the return ferry trip to South Queensferry!
Luckily, Emma and Sam both realised there was nothing they could do about the weather, and they continued to enjoy their day. While photographing Emma, her father and her bridesmaids walking up the path to Inchcolm Abbey, all I could hear above the wind were their shrieks of laughter as they tried to stay on their feet!
We then headed off to the Museum of Scotland, and decided not to take advantage of their rooftop terrace (!) for photos, mamaging to get some lovely portraits inside instead.
There was enthusiastic dancing that evening inside the Museum, and even Emma’s godson wanted to join in the dancing, despite the fact he was on all fours!
There’s a small selection here, and another 75 photos can be seen on the ‘order-photos’ page

Suzie and Charles’ wedding at Glencorse House
There were several firsts for me at Suzie and Charles’ wedding at Glencorse House last week.
There was my first Honour Guard, from Charles’ army coleagues. There was my first site of a bride playing with a football, bare foot. And there was my first sighting of a Military Cross, recently awarded to one of Charles’ friends, for gallantry while serving in Afghanistan.
The rain held off, as did the wind. Among other highlights, there was a hilarious account of the grooms culinary expertise, and it’s use in wooing his bride. And there was enthusiastic dancing to the ceilidh band!
There’s a few photos here, and many more on the order photos page

My favourite 20 photos of 2010
These are actually my favourite expressions from last year’s wedding photography. My photography is all about seeing the moment and capturing it – whether it’s the bride’s father’s nervousnous, a Gay Gordons heading for impact, the delight in a couple eyes, or the happiness expressed by their guests.

Anna and Mike’s wedding photos in Edinburgh
I’m in Canada at the moment, taking my parents to see my brother in Alberta, so I’m processing the photos from Anna and Mike’s wedding last Saturday on my laptop, which is a bit of a slow process!
These are some of the highlights so far – and there’s more to come!
