Not necessarily the best wedding photos of last year – but 25 of my favourites.

Kirsten and Gavin’s wedding at Prestonfield House

I photographed Kirsten and Gavin’s wedding three weeks ago at Prestonfield in Edinburgh. If you’ve read my previous blog post you’ll know why it’s taken so long to post this, and I apologise! I’m editing these photos on my laptop, which I hate doing. So more apologies if they don’t look quite right – I’ll update them when I have access to my main super powered machine with enormous monitor.

They had everything required for a perfect wedding – an amazing dress, Edinburgh’s most prestigious venue, even a best man who embarrassed the groom.

Then they added to it with music. I’ve never come across “Big Vern ‘n’ the Shootahs” before, despite the fact they’ve been around for 20 years. But what an amazing ensemble of musicians! Think of The Blues Brothers, and you’re half way there. Not only did everyone dance enthusiastically, but the band seemed to be having a good time too! They even got Kirsten and some of her friends up on stage……..

Of course, being Scotland, there was a bit of a ceilidh too, with music provided by the Men in Kiltz Ceilidh band.
