My first wedding of the year was at one of my favourite venues - Wedderburn Castle. On a bitterly cold day, the fires inside were lit, adding warmth to the delightfully relaxed atmosphere inside the house.
Geri and David brought their family and friends up from Norfolk in a fleet of cars and a minibus, battling their way through the north Yorkshire snow storms. Of course, having arrived, the snow vanished!
A great time was had by all, with lots of tears and emotion, along with all the happiness and celebration. After a superb meal, I met my first ever wedding singer, Lee Live, and together we tried to teach the wedding party a few ceilidh dances, which resulted in a very creditable 'Strip the Willow.'
