North Berwick is known for it’s changeable micro-climate, and last Saturday was no exception! The day before Dirleton Castle had been preparing to pump out the waterlogged vaults where Andrew and Lisa’s Humanist ceremony was due to take place. Yet the sun shone long enough to dry everything out, and to allow guests to drink champagne in the wonderful surroundings of the old ruin. It only started to rain as we drove to North Berwick for the second half of the reception – but my umbrella quickly turned into a parasol within minutes! The day was wrapped up with speeches, wonderful food and dancing (including a Hen Night special!) at the Glen Golf Club.
