January 2nd seems an odd date for a wedding – but after 12 years together, Louisa and Andy picked Louisa’s birthday as their wedding day. I’d met them over two years ago at Rachel and Callum’s wedding, where their beautiful daughter Megan had been a flower girl (and manic dancer) and they had kindly booked me shortly afterwards. These are some of the black and white photos I will be printing for them. I hope they tell the story of their day: Louisa getting ready surrounded by her family and friends, the look on her mother’s face as she see’s Louisa’s father walking her to the ceremony, to the stolen kisses and joy between Louisa and Andy. Sadly, I only have room for one photo of Megan’s manic dancing! (And after she’d changed into more comfortable clothes!) They will be receiving many more colour versions of my documentary wedding photography.
