Ravensheugh Log Cabin | Kat and Samarth | Wedding Photographer East Lothian

Ravensheugh Log Cabin is one of many perfect East Lothian wedding venues.
It's a blank canvas for a bride and groom to plan whatever they want, all along with a backdrop of the Firth of Forth, Ravensheugh beach, and even the Bass Rock and North Berwick Law in the background.
Kat and Samarth had planned a wedding for both their families and their guests would enjoy, from a simple outdoor ceremony to ceilidh and Indian music and dancing.
They both got ready in Dunbar - Kat at her parents house and Samarth at a local hotel. Revensheugh is midway between North Berwick and Dunbar, so there was no shortage of accommodation for their guests.
After their short ceremony overlooking the sea and the Bass Rock (and them both jumping over a broomstick - an old custom I'd not actually seen before) I took them down to the almost empty beach for some informal portraits. I didn't have to ask them to do anything - as they walked towards me spontaneously stopping for a kiss or a hug as they approached.
Then it was back up to the cabin for some formal family group photos, champagne and the reception before a group photo and dinner. The speeches were funny, heartfelt and informative (perhaps too much information in the Best Man's case!)
After the tables were cleared and the dance floor made ready, an Indian drummer led a dancing Kat and Samarth, and their guests, back for the evening entertainment, an eclectic mix of Indian and ceilidh music!
