Edinburgh wedding photographs

I love small weddings, especially when they’re organised so efficently by Yvonne at Sixpence Weddings. Tania and Stanley live on the other side of the world, in Perth, Australia, and were only going to have two guests at their wedding, so a bit of additional help from Yvonne made things a lot easier for them! Yvonne organised permission from Historic Scotland for them to be married on the shore of St Margaret’s Loch in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, and got Humanist celebrant Duncan Robertson to conduct the ceremony,  Pipe Major Iain Grant to provide musical accompaniment on his bagpipes, and of course myself to take the wedding photographs. My day saw me with Stanley and Tania’s uncle Liam as they got ready and drinking a nerve-steadying brandy at their hotel, before I moved across town to find Tania getting ready while being watched, via Skype, by her Grandmother in Australia! Perfect weather provided beautiful lighting for the photographs of the ceremony and several photo-sessions round Holyrood Park before the happy couple made their way to their requested ‘typical pub dinner’ at Deacon Brodies on the Royal Mile.
